Herald of Summer

Plump green filled leaves
like thousands of Elm flags
branch into infinite
sun collecting parts.
The spring.
The beginning.
Anew the glorious
sun-activated chlorophyll,
designed with
solid roots
in the ground
massive trunk
branching smaller
and smaller
delicately ending
in the waiving tips
of the leaves.
